Abstract:
To provide a moisture curable sealant for sealing biological tissues.SOLUTION: There is provided a tissue sealant containing a reaction product of (a) polyol, (b) polyisocyanate, and (c) alkoxysilane having the formula:(RRR)-Si-CH-Z, wherein (i) Z is -OH, -SH, -NCO, or -NHRgroup, wherein Ris hydrogen, an alkyl group, or an aryl group, and (ii) R, R, and Rare each independently H, an alkoxy group, an alkyl group, a heteroalkyl group other than alkoxy group, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, at least two of R, Rand Rare alkoxy groups, in which relative amount of the polyol, the polyisocyanate, and the alkoxysilane is selected so that the reaction product contains a free isocyanate group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
