Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the tone of a silver image and to stabilize in a fast treatment with a developing liquid in a small replenishing amt. by incorporating a phosphagen compd. and a specified compd. into a silver halide emulsion layer or a hydrophilic colloid layer adjacent to the emulsion layer. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material has a silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic colloid layer adjacent to the emulsion layer on a supporting body. The silver halide emulsion layer or the adjacent hydrophilic colloid layer contains a phosphagen compd. and at least one kind of compd. expressed by the formula. In the formula, R1 , R2 are independently hydroxy groups, mercapto groups or substd. or unsubstd. amino groups, acylamino groups, alkylsulfonylamino groups, arylsulfonylamino groups, alkoxycarbonyl groups or alkylthio groups, Z is a group of atoms necessary to form a substd. or unsubstd. 5 to 6-member ring.
