To properly execute the discoloring processing of a color print and the correcting processing of the fogging thereof without lowering the producing efficiency of the color print and giving the sense of incongruity to the observer of an image.
A pattern whose prescribed-area zone becomes previously decided density is recorded within the image area of an object image on a record medium together with the object image. Then, the recorded pattern is photoelectrically read together with the object image so as to obtain the image information of the pattern and the image data of the object image. Based on a compared result between the image information of the pattern and the previously decided density of the pattern, the image processing of the obtained image data of the object image is executed.
