Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a suction air flow to a cotton collecting box in a vent line even when a suction mouth of a sliver holding and recovering device is closed.
CONSTITUTION: Two arms are installed in a housing of a sliver spinning frame and a sliver holding device 20 is attached on the top of the second arm 18b. A supporting cylinder 22 constituting the sliver holding device 20 is connected with the second arm 18b in a communicating way and open holes 22a and 22b are formed around mts surrounding surface. A suction pipe 21 covering the inserted supporting cylinder 22 with a clearance is connected with a lever 24 fixed on a revolving shaft of a rotary actuator 23 through a connecting rod 25. A suction mouth 21a and vent mouth 21b which are respectively capable of corresponding with the holes are formed on the surrounding surface of the suction pipe 21, and the vent mouth 21b is closed when the suction mouth 21a is open and the vent mouth 21b is open when the suction mouth 21a is closed. Further, the second arm 18b is communicated with a cotton collecting box, which is arranged in a housing and becomes minus pressure by an operation of a blower.
