Abstract:
To provide a simple determination method of ground types easily determining ground types by detecting and analyzing, using a sensor, ground propagation sound generated upon excavation of or insertion to the ground with a tip of an excavation/insertion part in drilling or sounding.SOLUTION: A simple determination method of ground types comprises steps of: measuring, with a sensor 7 (a solid propagation sound sensor) set in the ground surface or the ground adjacent to the ground surface, ground propagation sound which is friction/excavation sound generated at a tip 4 of an excavation/insertion part of a rod and propagated to the ground upon excavation/insertion in drilling or sounding; and determining the ground type based on a frequency component, a sound pressure, and an envelope of the ground propagation sound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
