Title:
SINTERED TITANIUM FILTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3761551
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium-sintered filter which is obtained by using a titanium raw material being a spherical granular body and sintering the titanium raw material at the temperature far lower than the melting point of titanium without pressurizing it and has excellent performance as a filter having a small pressure loss.
SOLUTION: This sintered titanium filter having the characteristic ideal as a sintered filter to be used in a gas chromatograph is obtained by using the spherical granular body of titanium or a titanium alloy prepared by a gas atomization method to have 10-150 μm average particle size, packing/holding the spherical granular body in a container without pressurizing it and sintering the spherical granular body at 850-1,200°C in an inert gas atmosphere or in vacuum without pressurizing it.
