Abstract:

PURPOSE: To absorb the impact exerted on a wrist through a ski pole having a snow ring above a ferrule, by providing an impact absorbing device in the snow ring.
CONSTITUTION: A ski pole with a grip at the upper end is provided with a ferrule at the lower end of a shaft 1 and a snow ring 7 that is made of a nylon, vinyl chloride resin, etc., and held between lower and upper ring stoppers 11 and 13 above the ferrule. A holder 14 with a flange, made of ABS resin, nylon, etc., is inserted between the inside circumference of the snow ring 7 and the outside circumference of the shaft 1 and held between the ring stoppers 11 and 13. A recessed part 8 is formed in the snow ring 7 with a part 7a left, and a flexible impact absorbing ring 15 made of a urethane resin etc., is fitted in the recessed part 8 to absorb the impact that is exerted on a wrist when the ski pole is in use.
