Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a skylight window equipped with a shading door which is easy to handle.
CONSTITUTION: A skylight window 2 is mounted to the upper end of a skylight window mounting hole 1 while a shading door 4 is pivotally mounted with a hinge 5 so that a lower part may be opened freely. One end of a wire 9 which opens the shading door is wound up to an accessible spot, for example, it is wound up with a winder 11 and temporarily fixed in structure. When the wire 9 is released from its temporary fixing and rewound, the shading door is turned downward due to its own weight, centering on the hinge 5 so that the door may be opened freely. When the wire 9 is wound up, the shading door 4 is turned upward so that he door may be closed freely. Preferably, two shading doors 4 are pivotally mounted so that the door may be opened downward like a casement window and the wire 9 is stretched between a fixed pulley 8 installed to the upper part of the shading doors and a movable pulley 6 mounted to each shading doors 4 in structure. This construction makes it possible to reduce a winding power of the wire 9 with the action of the pulley and open and close the shading doors more easily and more smoothly.
