Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent scratching of clothes by adjusting screws and injuries of hands or the like and also increase the strength of fitting cups, in a slide hinge with adjusting mechanisms at the right and left sides, used for opening or closing of a door for furniture, buildings, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A spacer 16 having a U-shaped section moving together with an adjusting screw 14 and a body arm 11 as a unit is assembled between the back plate 11-1 of body arm and the fitting seat 13, in a slide hinge composed of the body arm 11 having a U-shaped section and the fitting seat 12 fitted inside the arm and constructed so as to bring the body arm 11 close to the fitting seat 12 or separate it from the body arm by the adjusting screw 14. The adjusting screw is designed so as not to protrude to the outer side than the back plate 11-1 of the body arm 11 when the adjusting screw 14 is rotated, by the action of the spacer. The fitting cup 17 is shaped to form a box by bending a metallic plate.
