PURPOSE: To prevent sliding doors from working stiffly and eliminate hindrance to passage by providing the sliding doors in parallel having an entrance split into multiple portions, securing the opening width of the entrance at the same length as that of the conventional structure, shortening the whole length of a shutter box, shortening the installation space of a sliding door device, and eliminating the overlapping of lower rails at the entrance section in the sliding door device having the shutter box on the partition wall of a platform or on a general building.
CONSTITUTION: Multiple sliding doors 10, 11 constituted of the leading side and the driven side are arranged in parallel, a guide rail 25 is provided on the opposing face of one of adjacent sliding doors in the moving direction of the sliding door, and a guide roller 28 is provided on the opposing face of the other sliding door. The guide roller 28 is coupled with the guide rail 25 movably in the moving direction of the sliding door and not to be removed from the guide rail 25, and sliding door opening/closing means of the driven side following the opening/closing of the sliding door on the leading side to open or close the sliding door on the driven side are provided on both sliding doors on the leading side and the driven side.
