Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a molded object having high strength by injecting a slip wherein a part of components is composed of fibrous ceramic into the cavity of a mold to press the slip and solidifying the molded slip in such a state that fibrous ceramic is well dispersed.
CONSTITUTION: A slip cast molding apparatus is constituted of a mold 1 and the sealed box 2 having the mold 1 received therein in a close contact state. A ceramic slip 7 to which fibrous ceramic is added is supplied into the cavity 6 of the mold 1 from a supply pipe 3 and compressed air is supplied into the cavity 6 from a compressed air supply pipe 4 to press the slip 7. Therefore, fibrous ceramic is well dispersed and, since moisture generated by pressing is sucked from a suction pipe 5 under reduced pressure, a ceramic molded object free from structural irregularity and having high strength is obtained within a short time.
