To provide a slug recovering apparatus in which a supply part for supplying water to the inclined part of the slug recovering apparatus is avoided to be clogged by the fine particulate slug to continuously supply water to the inclined part and the slug falling down on the inclined part is continuously recovered.
The slug recovering apparatus is provided with the inclined part 8 for introducing molten slug (e) discharged from a smelting furnace 1, a supply port 18 provided in the upper side of the inclined part and for supplying water and a weir plate 21 provided in the upper side of the inclined part and the lower side of the supply port and for intercepting the supplied water (w1) and overflown to the inclined part and is constituted so that the water overflown from the weir board flows the whole region of the inclined part and the introduced molten slug is cooled, solidified and carried away.
