Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop the operation of a printer at the time of being full of printed matters or the generation of jam even when printing papers are set on a printer without communication lines for transmitting and receiving between control sections.
SOLUTION: When a storage section 5 for full of printing papers P and the full state is sensed by a full state sensor 126 or the generation of jam state is sensed, a solenoid 152 is driven by a controller 10 to move a stopper 15 to a printing position represented by a solenoid line. Thus the forward movement of the printing paper ejected out of a printer into a small size printed matter ejection and storage device 2 is prevented by the stopper 151. In the normal case, therefore, the printing paper is sensed by a sensor for sensing the ejection provided on a paper ejection section and printing paper is sensed and the defective ejection is judged by the sensor to stop the operation of the printer.
