In a smoke barrier, a rail-like member 10 is arranged on a ceiling section, and a plurality of smokeproof sheet members 30 are set up by arranging a setting frame body 20 on walls at both ends of the rail-like member. The rail-like member 10 is made of a metal angle material. The frame body 20 located at both ends comprises a base frame body 21 to be fixed to the wall, and a movable frame body 22. The movable frame body 22 can reciprocate in a direction of getting closer to a wall surface. Ends of the smokeproof sheet members 30 are joined to a side surface of the movable frame body 22. The smokeproof sheet members are formed by connecting the plurality of smokeproof sheet members 30 with a predetermined length. This connection part is fixed by holding the ends of the smokeproof sheet members 30 by two tension bars 35. The tension bar 35 is shifted along the longitudinal direction of the angle material so that the smokeproof sheet members 30 can be set up.
