Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for readily and efficiently separating excess water from excavated soil and the like, when transporting excavated soil and the like containing heavy metal on water surface.SOLUTION: A soil-water separator is installed on a sediment carrier ship 1 for carrying on water surface excavated soil S and the like containing heavy metals. The soil-water separator includes an enclosure 2 into which the excavated soil S and the like is thrown in, a bottom plate provided at a bottom surface inside the enclosure 2 and having a plurality of drain holes formed thereon, a catchment basin collecting a water component that passes through the drain hole, and a pump for discharging outside of the sediment carrier ship 1 the collected water component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
