Abstract:
To provide a one-part solid developer using an ascorbic acid developing agent excellent in preservability.
The solid developer used for the purpose of developing a black- and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material with at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the base does not substantially contain hydroquinone having a distribution factor of ≥0.75, contains a developing agent of formula (1) and polyhydroxybenzenes each having a distribution factor of -0.1 to +0.75 and does not contain an alkali metal hydroxide.
