To provide a photographic processing method which does not substantially produce a waste solution and enables processing with a very small amount of chemicals.
In the method for forming a photographic image in an imagewise exposed photographic material including one or more silver halide emulsion layers, a) the photographic material is imagewise coated with a coating weight of a developing solution containing a silver halide developing agent determined according to the density of the image to be formed and b) the unreacted developing agent is removed from the photographic material by a method other than the dipping of the photosensitive material in a liquid in a tank or the unreacted developing agent on the photographic material is made inert.
