PURPOSE: To obtain the subject cosmetic capable of preventing from becoming messy makeup and good in use feeling, comprising a cyclic silicone, a silicone- based surfactant, a humectant and hydrophobic power.
CONSTITUTION: This powder cosmetic comprises 1-50wt.% of a cyclic silicone of the formula (R1 and R2 are each an alkyl or alkenyl; (m) is 6), 0.1-20wt.% of a silicone-based surfactant (e.g. polyether-modified silicone), 0.01-30wt.% of a humectant, and 30-94wt.% of hydrophobic powder. The weight ratio of the silicone-based surfactant to the humectant is (10:1) to (1:1). Formulation of the safe cyclic silicone, which is readily volatile due to skin temperature or its contact with air, prevents time-dependently becoming messy makeup including odd-glittering of the face due to sebum secretion; incorporation of the hydrophobic powder with the silicone-based surfactant and the humectant improves the adhesiveness of the powder to the skin, prevents becoming messy makeup due to watery secretion such as sweat, sustains the initial state of makeup, and gives refreshing and dampish use feeling.
