Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a filler wire where especially excellent bead shape, formability and a sound weld zone can be obtained in the filler wire for the laser beam welding to execute the welding by using the laser beam as the heat source.
CONSTITUTION: The filler wire for the laser beam welding has the composition consisting of, by weight, 0.05-0.15% C, 0.30-1.50% Si, 0.90-2.20% Mn, 0.05-0.40% Ti, 0.02-0.08% P, 0.01-0.06% S and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
