PURPOSE: An acrylic resin composition with excellent solvent resistance suitable for a building material or the like, which is obtd. by compounding a hard thermoplastic acrylic resin prepd. by the polymn. of a monomer primarily composed of methyl methacrylate with a specified three-layered polymer.
CONSTITUTION: 20W98pts.wt. hard thermoplastic acrylic resin obtd. by the polymn. of methyl methacrylate alone or a monomer mixture thereof with 20wt% or less alkyl acrylate is compounded with 80W2pts.wt. specified three- layered polymer to prepare the purpose solvent-resisting acrylic resin composition. The three-layered polymer is prepd. by forming a first layer of a hard polymer obtd. by the polymn. of a monomer primarily composed of methyl methacrylate, forming a second layer by the polymn. of a monomer primarily composed of a 1W8C alkyl acrylate in the presence of the first layer and then forming a third layer by the polymn. of a monomer primarily composed of methyl methacrylate in the presence of the second layer.
