Abstract:
To provide a new compound inducing somatostatin agonistic activity.
The new compound inducing somatostatin agonistic activity is a cyclic peptide:D-b-Nal-cyclo[Cys-Tyr-D-Trp-Lys-Thr-Cys]-Thr-NH2 or the like. A pharmaceutical composition containing the above peptide is also provided. For the peptide, the amine nitrogen atom in the amino group of each of amide peptide linkages and N-terminated amino acids is optionally substituted with a methyl group, wherein such a methyl group is present at least one in the compound.
