Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soot blower for a coal gasification oven equipped with a seal structure enduring a high pressure in the oven.
SOLUTION: This soot blower is to blast off a blasting medium from a nozzle 3 formed at the tip end of a lance tube 2 for removing soot dust in the coal gasification oven 1. At a part of a casing 12 for freely rotatably and horizontally movably supporting the lance tube 2, a sealing box obtained by integrally joining a segment seal 5 constituted by building therein 3 seal rings 15, 16, 17, a ground packing 6 for preventing the gas from leaking and a bearing 22 for supporting the lance tube 2 is installed. The sealing rings 15, 16, 17 are mounted so that the dividing line of each of the rings is not overlapped with each other. The seal box is constituted by joining the segment seal 5 thus constituted, the ground packing 6 and the bearing 22 as one unit, and the leak of the gas in the inside of the oven to the outside of the seal box is prevented.
