Abstract:

To provide a sound absorbing material excellent in heat resistance, in sound absorptivity and in abrasion resistance.

This sound absorbing material comprises a laminate having 5-50 mm thickness and composed of a melt-blown nonwoven fabric comprising practically flatly accumulated microfibers consisting of a blend of 80-20 wt.% polyethylene terephthalate and 20-80 wt.% polybutylene terephthalate and having 0.1-0.4 g/cm3 apparent density and 5-300 g/m2 basis weight and a spunbonded nonwoven fabric comprising a polyester fiber having 1-11 dtex single fiber fineness and having 10-100 g/m2 basis weight on at least one side of the melt- blown nonwoven fabric; wherein the spunbonded nonwoven fabric is arranged at the most front surface.
