CONSTITUTION: A spacer 14 for installing a shift lever which is equipped with an L-shaped groove 14a engaged with an engagement pin 4 installed at the installation projection part 30 of an extension housing 3, and an engagement pin 15 engaged with the cut-out part 7a of a shift lever installation cover 7 is provided. Accordingly, the necessities of the work for demounting the extension housing from the car body and the work for once demounting the engagement pin press-fitted in the installation projection part and again press-fitting the engagement pin into the spacer side for installing the shift lever are obviated, and the working time which is necessary in 90-120min. in the conventional can be shorted to 3-5min.
