PURPOSE: To suppress mechanical resonance and to attain a flat frequency characteristic by using at least one of edge, damper and dust cap to a cloth woven through the use of twist yarns where the twist direction for first and final twists and the number of twists per unit length are the same.

CONSTITUTION: The edge 13, the damper 14 and the dust cap 15 are obtained by heating and forming a cloth 16 immersed with a thermosetting resin such as phenol. The cloth 16 is made of woven twist yarns 17. Broken lines indicate first twist and solid lines depicts final twist. The twist yarn 17 is made of natural fiber or synthetic fiber, the number of twists per unit length for the final and first twists is the same and the direction of the twist is the same. The internal loss is increased extremely when the number of twists for the first and final twists is the same. Then the Q of the edge 13, the damper 14 and the dust cap 15 is low by using the cloth 16 woven with the twist yarns 17 where the number of twists for the final and first twists is equal, the specific resonance of the speaker using the components is suppressed and a flat sound pressure frequency characteristic is obtained.
