Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed reducer that is low-cost and thin, has a large speed reduction ratio and generates small vibration.SOLUTION: A speed reducer 101 comprises: an input part 1; a first gear 4 which has a first plane 31 where a first tooth group is arrayed in a circumferential state around an input shaft 81 as a center axis and is in a fixed state; a second gear 2 which has a second plane 32 and a third plane 33, a second tooth group being arranged on the third plane 33 in a circumferential state; a rotary member 10 which comes into contact with the second plane 32 to regulate the second gear 2 so that its center axis 82 tilts by a certain angle, the second gear 2 being placed in precession; an output part 5; and a joint 3 which has a degree of freedom in the tilting direction and can transmit a turning motion component of the second gear to the output part 5. Teeth of the second tooth group on the tilting side of the center axis 82 engage some of the teeth of the first gear group, and the second gear 2 rotates on the center axis 82 as the rotation member 10 rotates on an input shaft 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
