Abstract:
PURPOSE:To aim at smooth starting as well as to improve a rate of fuel consumption, by keeping an exhaust braking device in an nonoperational state when a geared transmission is selected to such a state as capable of starting a car and this car is in a state of being on standby for starting. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting an engine, first a friction clutch 31 is made into engagedness by a control unit 52 and then that whether both positions of a change lever 54 and a geared transmission 32 are congruous with each other or not is judged. When this judgment is YES, a starter relay is energized, starting a starter, and the cranking of an engine 30 is performed. After the engine 30 is started, whether output of a car speed sensor 58 is less than the specified value or not is judged whereby a starting stand-by state is judged. And, at the time of judging the starting stand-by state, a cut valve is operated and the friction clutch 31 is disengaged, while a relay releasing the operating state of an exhaust braking device (unillustrated herein) is turned to ON, keeping this exhaust braking device in a nonoperational state.
