Title:
SPIKE FOR RUBBER CHAIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10258620
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To secure traction force of a vehicle for a long period of time by projecting a part of an antiskid member from an upper end of a shank.

A cylindrical antiskid member 2 made of cemented carbide is installed on a recessed part of an upper part of a steel made shank of 6mm in diameter, and a part of the antiskid member 2 is projected from an upper end of the shank 1. As the part of the antiskid member 2 is projected, it is possible to constantly hook an edge of the antiskid member 2 on a frozen road surface, etc., regardless of abrasion of a steel part. Additionally, three pieces of hemispherical projections of a radius of 0.5mm are arranged on the same circumference of a diameter of 6mm with equal intervals on a lower part surface 4 of a flange 3 formed on a lower end of a spike S. Consequently, even when it is dried after dipping it in a surface treatment solution, no adhesion is caused but favourable surface treatment is performed. Additionally, adhesion of the spike and rubber after curing of a rubber chain is improved favourable.
