Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make judgement on the moving direction, and compute the moving speed stably with high reliability by arresting a moving body (examined substance) by a line detection method.
CONSTITUTION: The device is made up of paired light receiving sections B1 and B2 which include a plurality of light receiving elements r1 and r2 provided along the moving direction of a body to be detected at specified intervals while being located at places facing each light projection section A1 and A2, forward direction extraction means S1 and S2 which scan a plurality of light receiving elements of one of the aforesaid paired light receiving sections in the direction identical to the moving direction of the examined substance (a) and extract the direction signal out of each light receiving element, reverse direction extraction means S1 and S2 which scan a plurality of light receiving elements of the other one of the aforesaid paired light receiving sections in the direction reverse to the moving direction of the aforesaid examined substance (a), and extract the detection signal out of each light receiving element, and of an analysis means C which inputs signals from both the extraction means, judges the moving direction of the body to be detected, or computes the moving speed.
