PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squeegee head for screen printing which can prevent leak of paste and can ensure a stable quality of printing.
SOLUTION: In the squeegee head 13 storing solder paste inside and sliding on a mask plate to print the paste on a board, a printing space 35 holding the solder paste and bringing it into contact with the surface of the mask plate is formed between scraping members 36A and 36B which form the front and rear walls in the direction of squeegeeing and of which the lower end parts come into contact with the surface of the mask plate, and closing members 37 closing up the printing space 35 are fitted to the opposite lateral end parts of the space. In printing, the closing members 37 are brought into contact with a screen mask 10 to make a compressive load act on the members 37 and thereby the members 37 are pressed against the scraping members 36A and 36B to seal up a contact face. According to this constitution, leak of the solder paste can be prevented without hampering the flexibility of the scraping members 36A and 36B and, besides, by the simple structure.
