Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stackable hub for securing the normal operation of a hub in a stack even when off-specification connection is executed and guaranteeing the normal communication of all terminals connected to the hub in the stack.
SOLUTION: Each stackable hub provided with stacking ports 9 and capable of increasing the number of terminals connected to the same LAN is provided with a means for managing the constitution of a stack, a means for detecting whether stack constitution is included in specification or not, a means for dividing the stack when the stack is out of the specification, and a means for connecting the divided stacks by the LAN.
