PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a physically weakened person safely and easily stand up and sit down by himself by vertically moving a movable sitting part, which has a seat part and a back part, to be inclined down forward or backward through a motor-driven unequal-sided four-joint link.
SOLUTION: A switch for changing over rising direction and falling direction is turned on to the rising direction. Then, a linear actuator A is gradually extended and an unequal-sided four-joint link 10 is swung up forward. Thus, a movable sitting part 1 is moved up obliquely forward while gradually inclined forward. When a seat part 4 is turned into forward down inclined state, the sitting part 1 is stopped. In such a state, the physically weakened person can sit down by himself. At such a time, since an arm rest is located at a rising position as well, the user can support his body by holding the arm rest part. Next, when the switch is turned on to the falling direction, the linear actuator A is gradually shortened, the sitting part 1 is gradually returned to horizontal position, and sitting is completed. At the time of stand-up, it is enough only to similarly perform operation as well and the user can easily and safely sit down and stand up.
