PURPOSE: To recover steam injected from a rice cooker without diffusing the steam in the air and to cool the steam for condensation by a method wherein the opening at the edge of a steam introduction pipe has size enough for covering the whole of the steam injection nozzle of the rice cooker therewith and an adhering material having elasticity and (or) hygroscopicity is provided.

CONSTITUTION: A steam intake port 18, opened to below and gradually increased in size to form in the shape of a skirt and having a rear edge opening 19 whose inner size is large enough for covering the whole of a steam injection nozzle 25 of a rice cooker 24, is formed on the other end side of a steam introduction pipe 12. Further, an adhering material 20 having elasticity and (or) hygroscopicity is mounted in edge opening 19 of the steam intake port 18. The so formed adhering material 20 is removable in consideration of a case in which washing is effected where necessary. When this device is installed to the rice cooker 24, steam injected through the steam injection nozzle 25 is not injected to the outside but all introduced to the steam introduction pipe 12 through the steam intake port 18 by the working of the adhering material 20. During the passage of it through a condensate pipe 11, the steam is cooled in a heat absorbing container 1, and is condensed to produce a condensate.
