Abstract:
PURPOSE:To view an image projected on a screen immediately and stereoscopically by enabling stereoscopy through a polarizing plate without using a projection system nor a stereoscopic viewer. CONSTITUTION:Two images for the right and left eyes which have a parallax are projected on the reflection part 3 consisting of a total reflecting mirror 5 from a projection part 2 and reflected in a superposed state by the reflection part 3 to a screen part 4. Divisional images of the two images which are divided by the pitch of a cylindrical lens and compressed are put together alternately and successively on a diffusion layer through an incidence-side lenticular surface. Only the divisional images for the right eye of the successive composite image on the diffusion layer form the image for the right eye through a projection-side lenticular surface and only the divisional images for the left eye form the image for the left eye.
