To provide an implement with which one can carry out simultaneously sterilization and drying of a wooden chopping board using stored heat in metal and which has two types by heating methods: one using a gas range or an electromagnetic cooker and one using electric heating, and to provide a heat-cooking container having the same function.

A metal implement having a flat part on its bottom and handle is heated. Using the heat, it is slid over a surface of a wooden chopping board which is wet after washing. By the generated high temperature vapor and high temperature, sterilization and drying is carried out simultaneously. The type using a gas range or an electromagnetic cooker can be used as a frying pan or a milk pan, too. The type using electric heating can control the temperature accurately and therefore, can be used for sterilization and drying of a plastic chopping board if the temperature is set at the heat-resistant temperature (80°C) or below of the plastic chopping board.
