Title:
STERILIZATION FOR IMMNOGLOBLIN SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6485929
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To pasteurize a dilute aqueous solution of immunoglobulin holding its physiological activity with only minimum association by heating the solution under low ion strength and weakly acidic conditions. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution of immunoglobulin of <=5wt.%, preferably <=2wt.% is heated under an ion strength (ion strength is lower than that of 0.05 mM aqueous saline solution) and a pH of 3.5-6.5, preferably 4-6 at 35-75 deg.C, preferably 50-60 deg.C to inactivate viruses which exist in an association of <=5%, a the physiological activity of the immunoglobulin is sustained. The immunoglobulin is, for example, gamma globulin, venous immunoglobulin, hyperimmunoglobulin or monoclonal antibody in IgG class or IgG1 subclass.
