Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a storage medium and also a file stored in this medium by plural host systems.
SOLUTION: In this control method, a file which is shared by plural host systems, the file management information (FAT, directory) which is shared by plural host systems and manages the shared file and the logical format information 1021 to 102n corresponding to the host systems which are necessary for these systems to access the shared file by means of the shared file management information are recorded in a storage medium 11. Then every host system acquires the logical format information corresponding to itself from the medium 11 and accesses the shared file by means of the shared file management information and based on the acquired logical format information.
