Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-vinyl chloride stretch film for food packaging which has excellent packaging workability, packaging finish and other properties by providing a particular resin layer comprising a copolymer of a vinyl arom. compd. with a conjugated diene.
SOLUTION: At least one layer comprising a resin comprised of a copolymer of a vinyl arom. compd. with a conjugated diene (e.g. a styrene/isoprene/styrene triblock copolymer) or a hydrogenation deriv. thereof and having a glass transition temp. of -20°C or above is provided. If necessary, another resin layer (e.g. a resin layer of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer) is laminated thereon to obtain a stretch film for food packaging having a storage modulus of elasticity of 5×108 to 5×109dyn/cm2 in terms of dynamic viscoelasticity, as measured under conditions of a frequency of 10Hz and a temp. of 20°C, and a tangent loss in the range of 0.2 to 0.8. This film, when used in an automatic packaging machine or the like, can be cut and carried without any problem and can provide a package having a good bottom sealing property.
