PURPOSE: To lighten the captioned structure, lower a manufacturing cost, and improve the reliability in strength by forming patch reinforcements provided for reinforcing a branch joining portion in corrugation and nearly conforming the axial directions of the corrugated plates to the axial directions of a main pipe and a branch pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Reinforcing rings 3, 4 are installed on each outer periphery of a main pipe 1 and a branch pipe 2 at a certain interval. Patch reinforcements 5, 6 are provided on each main pipe 1 and branch pipe 2 on the branch joining portion between each reinforcing rings 3, 4. The patch reinforcements 5, 6 are formed in corrugation. In this case, the corrugated plates are installed with their axial directions being nearly conformed to the axial directions of the main pipe 1 and branch pipe 2. Thereby, the branch joining structure of a thin- walled large-diameter cylindrical container can be lightened lowering a manufacturing cost while improving reliability in strength.
