Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction pad capable of well releasing a conveying article from the suction pad when suction is released after the completion of conveyance of the conveying article. SOLUTION: A suction pad for sucking the front surface of a conveying article and for holding the conveying article is provided with a suction part 2 provided with a suction hole 4 and to be brought in contact with the front surface of a conveying article on the peripheral surface of the sucking hole 4, and a connecting tool 16a for connecting the suction part 2 to a nozzle 10a for sucking air in the suction hole 4, the connecting tool 16a is formed of an elastic body, the suction part 2 is formed of a material having such strength as not to be deformed in sucking, and the front surface of the conveying article can be sucked by sucking air in the suction hole 4 without using suction force to be generated by the deformation of the suction part 2.
