Abstract:
To provide a support for biological deodorization which has excellent deodorization effect to the malodor of nitrogen based compounds and sulfur based compounds and a method and an apparatus for deodorization using the same.
The support for biological deodorization offers growth environment to microorganism having a function to decompose and remove malodorous materials, is capable of fixing the microorganism and is composed of a foamed glass body consisting essentially of glass. The support for biological deodorization contains further silicon dioxide. The support for biological deodorization has 2-20 mm particle diameter, 0.3-1.6 g/cm3 specific gravity and 10-50% water absorption.
