PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support column reinforcement and so on for an elevator which can increase a strength of a support column when an elevator is modified from a hydraulic elevator into a rope type elevator.SOLUTION: A support column reinforcement device and so on is equipped with a pair of first reinforcement bodies and a pair of second reinforcement bodies. When an elevator is modified from a hydraulic elevator, in which a rail of a hydraulic plunger is supported by a support column, into a rope type elevator in which a rail of a balance sinker is supported by the support column, the pair of first reinforcement bodies sandwich the support column in the state that the bodies contact the support column. The pair of second reinforcement bodies are arranged in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction of the pair of first reinforcement bodies on a horizontal plane of projection and above the pair of first reinforcement bodies, are connected to the pair of first reinforcement bodies, and sandwich the support column in the state that the bodies contact the support column.
