Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the titled coating composition effective to prevent the migration of plasticizer of a polyvinyl chloride resin containing a migratory plasticizer, by compounding a specific saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a solvent.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be produced by adding (A) a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having an ethylene content of 20W60% and a saponification degree of ≥96% to (B) a solvent [e.g. a mixture of 65pts.(wt.) of n-propyl alcohol and 35pts. of water], and stirring the mixture preferably at 75W80°C for about 1hr.
