To eliminate deviation between an apparent line width and a true line width and between an apparent line position and a true line position due to the positions of the eyes of a player by eliminating the fear of breaking an applied power displaying body such as a liquid crystal color development body etc. when the player make an exercise on a floor.
A line-shape groove is formed on the surface 6 of a floor member 5 on which a sports game is played. This surface color development type line display tool is constituted by fitting a transparent polycarbonate protection member 8 into the line-shape groove so that the surface part of the member 8 is flush with the surface 6 of the floor, the protection member 8 having a diffused layer 81 on its surface part and, on its lower surface part, having a recessed part which has a depth M larger than the thickness K of an applied power displaying body 10 and to which the applied power displaying body 10 is adhered. Even when the player jumps on a line which is a part of the floor, stepping force is transmitted to the floor member 5 in contact with both of the ends of the recessed part and is not transmitted to the display body 10. In addition, the diffused layer 81 develops a color to display a line for a game. Thus, in the case of viewing the line from a visual point A, this diffused layer 81 is viewed, thereby the apparent line width H is viewed to be equal to the true line width H.
