Abstract:

To provide a surface treating device reducing power consumption.

The surface treating device 1 roughening the surface of a workpiece 41 to manufacture a developing sleeve 132 has: a storage tank 49 storing the workpiece 41 and magnetic abrasive grains 44; a cylindrical member 42 and a holding rotation part 43 holding the workpiece 41 rotatably around a center axis P in the direction of the center axis P placed in a vertical direction Y; an electromagnetic coil 20 generating a rotating magnetic field in the storage tank 49 to allow the magnetic abrasive grains 44 to collide with the workpiece 41 by the rotating magnetic field; and a moving base 70 and an actuator 48 moving the electromagnetic coil 20 and the storage tank 49 relatively along the direction of the center axis P.
