Abstract:
To provide a surgical fixing pin inserter that has a simplified mechanism and operation to manually attach/detach a fixing pin to/from an adapter, and a surgical fixing pin for use therein.SOLUTION: A surgical fixing pin inserter 1 has a fixing pin 10 that is inserted and fixed to bone and an adapter 30 that holds the fixing pin 10 detachably and extends in an axis L direction. The fixing pin 10 has a wire holder 20 with wire insertion holes 23, 23' provided between the outer peripheral surfaces around the axis in a penetrating manner, and an insertion fixing shaft 11 extending from the wire holder 20 in the tip direction. The adapter 30 has a pin fixing hole 47 having its tip side opening to receive the wire holder 20, and a contact part that allows the fixing pin 10 to contact with the contact part with the pin fixing hole 47 receiving the wire holder 20. The outer peripheral surface of the wire holder 20 is provided with a male screw 25, and the inner peripheral face of the pin fixing hole 47 is provided with a female screw 31b to be screwed with the male screw 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
