Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the center of gravity of a vehicle body from moving in the cross direction of the vehicle even if the vehicle is traveling across a slope so as to provide good stability to maintain the weight balance of the vehicle body for stabilization of controllability by mounting rear wheels in such a way that they are movable relative to the vehicle body only in the vertical direction and not in the cross direction of the vehicle.
SOLUTION: In a half-crawler vehicle, a swing arm 61 is extended backward from the vehicle body 4 in such a way that it can rock vertically, with a rear- wheel drive shaft 54 mounted on the end of the swing arm. A pair of sub beams 63, 63 are attached at their bases to the end of the swing arm in such a way that they are extended forward and capable of rocking vertically, with intermediate-wheel support shafts 66, 66 mounted on the ends of the sub beams. Intermediate wheels are mounted on the intermediate wheel support shafts, and rear wheels as driving wheels are mounted on rear-wheel drive shafts, with the intermediate and rear wheels mounted in such a way that they are movable relative to the vehicle body only in the vertical direction and not in the cross direction of the vehicle.
