To provide a suspension support capable of improving durability of a rubber-like elastic body in spite of structure capable of improving steering stability of an automobile by improving a spring constant of the rubber-like elastic body between an inner and an outer cylinders, and a method for manufacturing the suspension support at a low cost.

The inner cylinder 1 to which a piston rod of a shock absorber is inserted to be connected is connected to the outer cylinder 2 by the rubber-like elastic body 3. The inner cylinder is formed by an upper metal fitting 5 shaped like a cup opened upward having a bottom wall 6, and a lower metal fitting 8 shaped like a cup opened downward having a bottom wall 9, fixed to each other at their bottom walls. A first taper cylinder part 12, enlarged upward, is provided in the upper metal fitting 5. A second taper cylinder part 17, enlarged upward, is formed in the outer cylinder 2. At least the lower end side of the second taper cylinder part 17 in the outer cylinder 2 is overlapped with the first taper cylinder part 12 as seen in an axial core direction of the inner and the outer cylinders 1 and 2.
