PURPOSE: To provide a swell latch assembly which has few number of parts and which can be easily attached and assembled with less cost and which is simple in design and actuation.
CONSTITUTION: This swell latch assembly 10 is mounted in an aperture 24, formed in a first member 82 releasably retained in a latched position with respect to a second member 84. The swell latch assembly is provided with a pivotally rotating handle 12. A shaft 14, formed of a single member connected to the handle 12, is included in the assembly. When the handle 12 is rotated between the open and closed positions, the handle 12 facilitates the axial movement of the shaft 14. A bush 16 is provided in the shaft 14, and when the handle 12 is positioned in the closed position, the second member 84 and the first member 82 are thereby retained releasable. There is a retaining means 18 connected to the shaft 14, and the bush 16 is fixed to the fitting position of the shaft 14.
