Abstract:
To provide a swing unit which changes a control of transmission gear ratio according to a travel scene of a vehicle, and suppresses increase in size.SOLUTION: An engine 20 of a swing unit 6 is swingably supported by a vehicle frame 7 and includes a crank shaft 21. The drive shaft 60 swingably supported by the vehicle frame 7 transmits motive power to a rear wheel 3. A belt-type non-stage transmission 30 transmits motive power from a primary shaft 41 to a secondary shaft 51 by a belt 32 wound about a primary sheave 44, 45 and a secondary sheave 54, 55. A reduction gear 70 transmits motive power from the secondary shaft 51 to the drive shaft 60. An auxiliary transmission 80 transmits motive power, instead of a part of the reduction gear 70, such that a ratio of the rotational speed of the secondary shaft 51 to the rotational speed of the drive shaft 60 differs from the reduction gear 70. A switching mechanism 90 switches the reduction gear 70 and the auxiliary transmission 80. The switching operation can be performed during stop of the vehicle 1 and cannot be performed during travel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
